Overseeing the entire mining value chain to identify production bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize performance. Contributes to establishment of an effective business optimization department with work done on setting up the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) and integration of the VCI role into the operations.

Assumed various roles as part of professional development, including:

• Learner Miner (January 2020 - May 2021) - A development programme to obtain blasting certificate for fiery Mines.
• Underground Miner (June 2021 - November 2021) - Appointed as a section Miner. Responsible to supervise one shift for safe extraction of coal. Managed to achieve monthly production targets and good rock engineering standards for the section.
• Acting Shift boss (November 2021 - May 2022) - Appointed in terms of Section 7(4), Regulation 2.15.1 MHSA, Act No. 29 of 1996. Responsible for day to day running of a production section. Ensuring that mining and safety standards are always adhered to. Conducting planned task observations on operators and Miners to ensure continual development and safety performance.
• Acting Mine Overseer, CM sections (May 2022 - November 2022) - Appointed in terms of Section 7(4), Regulation 2.14.1 MHSA, Act No. 29 of 1996. Responsible for day-to-day managing of two Continuous Miner sections. Managed to improve production and safety performance. Achieved very good ratings for rock engineering risk assessment reports for four months consecutively for both sections.
• Acting Mine Overseer, Shortwall section (November 2022 - April 2024) -Appointed in terms of Section 7(4), Regulation 2.14.1 MHSA, Act No. 29 of 1996. Responsible for day-to-day managing of the Shortwall operation and operational readiness of the last Shortwall panel (Main gate 25) for mining. Contributed to timeous and safe mining of the production panel based on lessons learned from previous mining panel.
